Morning PT. "Muscle failure" day. Actually it was a very good day of push ups and sit ups. No screaming and yelling. Just do whatever number we are doing in that set. It is on you to do it or not. And you know what we rose to the level of expectations. Reminded me of CHOBLC 2 years ago. I really enjoyed being treated as a professional.
The rest of the day was good too. We received training on PREP. We will be certified PREP and PIC instructors. This is for the Marriage enrichment (PREP) and "how not to marry a jerk"(PIC). This is both the Religious based and the secular based programs. This is not cheap certification. We are very fortunate to receive it.
We also were able (during lunch) to go to a sale for military clothing. This was clothing that was "issued" to privates that were just coming into the army. They did not complete Basic for some reason and did not get to keep their initial issue of clothing. The cannot reissue the clothes. We were able to go in and buy whatever we wanted for really cheap. The enlisted got first crack at it yesterday. The officers got a go at it today. I was able to buy 400+ of clothes for 82 dollars. What a deal! So what if I had to skip lunch. It sure won't be the first or last time we do that here at Ft Jackson.
